Our centre in Oldham is a space for being together or for a moment alone, for getting going again or for meeting people who just get it.
All our cancer support specialists have expert knowledge about cancer and treatment, and many are NHS-trained.

Getting here by:
Car
The hospital is on Rochdale Road, near the A62, and is easily accessed locally and from the M60/M62. The main entrance of °ÄÃŲʿª½± in Oldham is opposite the Victoria Unit on Topside.
There is limited parking outside the centre, but parking around the hospital is available in designated areas. You can apply for free parking if you are undergoing treatment – please get in touch with the centre for the telephone number.
Public Transport
Bus services are direct to the hospital. °ÄÃŲʿª½± is based opposite the Victoria Unit, or to the right of A&E.
The nearest tram stop is Westwood, or Oldham King Street, which is a 10-minute walk from the centre.
Accessibility
°ÄÃŲʿª½± main door is opposite the Victoria Unit on Topside. An alternative entrance is down a ramp through the garden.

I look after the management and daily running of the centre at Oldham and make sure the team and I are providing the best possible cancer support for our visitors.
I have over 30 years' experience as a Surgical Nurse, specialising in Colorectal Cancer, Stoma Care, Surgery and Colorectal Cancer Research. I have been the Centre Head at Maggie’s Oldham since 2018.
I'm here to listen, to help you talk things over and to help you find the information and support that is right for you and your family. I also run and support the Cancer Support Specialists and Clinical Psychologist in the delivery of programme courses, workshops and courses.

As a qualified Clinical Psychologist, I can help if things are getting on top of you, if you are scared, worried, overwhelmed or feeling down.
We can talk about things in a safe and supportive space and you can see me in private, in a group setting or with your family.

Cancer Support Specialist
Prior to joining Maggie’s in 2021, I was a Haematological Clinical Nurse Specialist for 24 years. I have worked at the Christie Hospital and Manchester Royal Infirmary, specialising in Haematology and Transplant, and clinical trials.
I'm also here to listen, to help you talk through things, and to find the information you need. I give one-to-one cancer information and support to you, your family and anyone affected by this diagnosis.
With other members of the team, I deliver aspects of the cancer support programme, groups and workshops.

My background is as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Haematology at The Royal Oldham Hospital before I came to °ÄÃŲʿª½± in 2019.
I give one-to-one information and support to you and your family and will guide you through the parts of our support that are most appropriate to you.
I also deliver and support other programme team members in the delivery of our support groups, workshops and courses.
I’m here to listen – just come in.

Centre Fundraising Organiser
I help to raise funds and awareness of our centre by organising fundraising events in the community. If you'd like to fundraise or volunteer for us then come and talk to me about how we can support you.
Our beautiful centre building was built in 2017 and is the world's first engineered hardwood building. Its interior is just as innovative and beautiful – perfect for the delivery of our cancer support.
